Good call Exclamation
Personally i have a very eclectic taste and will listen to anything Smile
I am particularly fond of the old blues artists, anyone who has inspired others.

    Nice tread!

Well I love many styles of music. My musical root are in gospel, soul, r&b and hip hop, but over the years I've acquired a love of Jazz, blues, rock (many styles), classical, tabla (an Indian drum)/ sitar, Chinese Flute/ Erhu...

    "Give a listen!"

    Soul

    No really

For those that don't know Donnie was the Stevie before Stevie

If you needed proof Stevie Wonder was blind here it is!

    R&B

I don’t really do Ne Yo, Rihanna, Akon, Chris Brown... I love people who have taken up the mantle of the old school soul legends. Erykah Badu. Gill Scott, Bilal, Anthony Hamilton...
    Erykah Badu

    Bilal

    Hip Hop

I went to see The Roots a few months ago best hip hop gig I've ever seen!!! I love that they play instruments mixed with great lyrics

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pijKLNcY-FU

Lowkey is the UK's best MC. There I've said it. It's all good but from 2:34 some conscious isht, the rhyme at 4:12 is ill and from 5:03 is DEEP! The full story of that is a song called "Bars for My Brother".

Bars for My Brother (DEEP ISHT!!!)

    Rock

Found this band through watching Japanese animation. Very soft but I love them now.

Rage Against The Machine - Bulls On Parade (Live @Woodstock)

I went to see this live last year. AMAZING!!! What a musician

Right I could do this all night so I’m going to stop there.

I can't believe it! No one knows who Jodeci are. They were my fav group growing up and I still listen to them now. I went to see then twice in concert years ago and was gutted when I found out they were in the UK in feb and I missed it.

D'Angelo!!!!! Well where to start. He is simpley the best of the "modern era of R&B. The most musicaly talented since Prince. I love Brown Sugar but the way it his style evolved in Voodoo blew me away. Where would it of gone next? I don't know how they didn't sign him for a third album. I don't care if it's selling or not. They owe it to music. Use some of the profits from the crap they put out to atone for what they are doing to an amazing art form.

Common is my fav rapper. I have all his stuff. The old Common Sence stuff mix tapes the lot. I went to see him in Bristol a while ago. Really, really good show.

Last month I downloaded a whole load of Zapp and Roger. Still loving it. The first gig I ever went to was Black Street (supported by The Whitehead Bros). Teddy Riley nearly made a girl explode by getting her on stage are singing habby birthday to her using a "Vocoda". I got to meet them all as well as my cousin who took me was signed with Sony at the time so we had back stage passes. I was so nervus I shake Teddy's hand left handed. He looked at me and said "nah nah lets do this right". I'll never forget it.

Jodeci's forever my lady and diary of a mad band got me hooked on r&b,i'd heard they were reforming and maybe making a new album awhile back, didn't realise they'd been over here though??

Voodoo was a great album too,Send it On and How Does it feel were my favourite tracks on that one,i also liked this one---> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m4XI6LXCsH8 also for the fact that there's a Cardiff boy on the bass in the back ground lol Did D'angelo not have his contract renewed then??i thought he just lost the plot, hit the drink/drugs and food real hard and gave up music for awhile.I hear he's supposed to be getting himself straightend out and making a new album called "James River",did you see the state he got himself into??

WoW another Zapp and Roger fan lol thats some cool gig stories you got mate!! i'd have loved to have seen Blackstreet and Whitehead Bros,Forget i was a G and 187 are top tunes.
